Ingredients
2 lbs Steak, thinly sliced
5 tbsp Soy sauce, light preferred
2 tbsp Sugar
1/4 cup Green onion
2 tbsp Garlic, minced
1 tsp Chili flakes
2 tbsp Sesame seeds
2 tbsp Sesame oil
1/2 tsp Black pepper
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
2 tbsp Sesame seeds, toasted, white and black if available for garnish
1/2 Pear (from a can)
Instructions
  1. In a bowl or large zip lock bag add soy sauce, sugar, green onions, garlic, 2 tbsp sesame seeds, chili flakes, pear, sesame oil and black pepper and mix well.
  2. Slice steak thinly and add to marinade.
  3. Cover or seal the bag and allow to marinate for at least one hour.  If possible allow overnight to allow flavours to permeate the beef more.
  4. Using a large cast iron skillet heat vegetable oil on high heat.
  5. Remove beef from marinade and place in skillet flat in small batches.  Do not overcrowd the skillet.
  6. Cook for one minute on each side
  7. Remove from heat and set aside covered while you cook the remaining beef.
  8. Serve on a platter or in a large bowl and garnish with toasted sesame seeds and some more chopped green onions.
  9. Serve with rice and kimchi
  10. Enjoy!
