Oven Baked Crispy Chicken Wings and Hot Sauce

Chicken Wings
1-2 tsp Cornstarch
Hot Sauce
2/3 cup Franks Hot Souce
1/4 tsp Cayene
1/8 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp White pepper
1 1/2 tbsp White vinegar
2 tbsp Olive oil
Instructions

Chicken Wings

  1. Preheat oven to 250F
  2. Pat dry chicken wings
  3. Toss chicken wings in cornstarch
  4. Place chicken wings on baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  5. Place in oven and bake for 30 minutes
  6. Raise oven temperature to 435F and bake for 45-50 minutes
  7. Serve with hot sauce on the side or tossed

Hot Sauce

  1. Combine all hot sauce ingredients and set aside while wings are baking
  2. Once wings are cooked either toss wings in sauce or as a dipping sauce
Using Corn Starch

Using cornstarch makes a huge difference.  The cornstarch draws moisture to the surface of the skin which will evaporate leaving a crispy skin yet very moist chicken.
